Come and join me for a night about birth plans!

When birthing in a hospital setting it is very important to communicate your choices clearly to all the staff you may come in contact with, and a well thought out easy to read birth plan can do just that. It also works as a great reminder to you and your support persons of what you want and the research that went into those decisions.

In this workshop I will provide you with a birth plan template and together we will work through the template discussing the options available and choices you will have to make during your time at the hospital.  We will be covering all possibilities so that no matter what twists your birth takes you will be prepared and able to make informed choices that are right for your family. We will also discuss hospital policy and your rights during childbirth.

Your host for this workshop is Rebecca Tompsett, Rebecca is a fully qualified and experienced Doula having supported families through many different births including drug free vaginal birth, epidural and assisted births, unplanned cesareans, planned cesareans, high risk pregnancies and still birth. Rebecca is passionate about rights during childbirth and improving mental health outcomes for parents and believes that being informed and supported plays a huge role in birth outcomes.
